It is clear that Liberians want options to war, but haven't been able to figure out anything while being shelled. But give war weary people the chance to throw down their weapons and look what happens!

Cynics will say that this is a momentary lull. Optimists will see this as the dawn of a new Liberia. I say that we have a lot of work to do right now to help Liberians to maintain peace, to build the structures they want, and to preserve hope. That means money, people, and, most important, reasonable goals.
